Watch: Dolphins pull off big gains on trick play and crazy bounce

HOUSTON -- Miami Dolphins coach Adam Gase reached into his bag of tricks in the third quarter Thursday night and another wide receiver threw a touchdown pass against the Houston Texans.

Brock Osweiler took a snap under center and quickly threw the ball behind the line of scrimmage to Danny Amendola, who was lined up as a flanker on the left side of the formation.

Drake paused at the snap, lulling his cover man to sleep, and then took off toward the right corner of the end zone. Amendola hit Drake in stride from the opposite side of the field for a 28-yard touchdown.

It was Amendola’s first career touchdown pass and second career regular-season completion.

In Week 3, Dolphins receiver Albert Wilson threw a touchdown pass against the Raiders.

Four different Dolphins (Ryan Tannehill, Brock Osweiler, Wilson, Amendola) have thrown a touchdown pass this season.

While the Amendola play was planned, another big play was pure luck. Dolphins receiver DeVante Parker, pressed into duty because of injuries to Kenny Stills and Albert Wilson, might not make a crazier catch all season than this one.

The pass, which was intended for Jakeem Grant, gained 46 yards on a third-and-11 and led to a Dolphins field goal.
