Canelo Alvarez vs. Callum Smith: How to watch, stream the super middleweight title fight

Canelo Alvarez, widely regarded as the biggest star in boxing, will step in the ring for the first time in 2020 when he battles Callum Smith for two super middleweight titles in San Antonio on Saturday night.

It has been a busy year for Alvarez despite his lack of ring time. In September, he filed a lawsuit in federal court alleging that DAZN, his broadcast partner, and Golden Boy Promotions, his promoter, were not living up to their agreement. In 2018, they signed a whopping 11-fight, $365 million contract. That ended last month when the parties agreed to dissolve the deal.

Alvarez is now a free agent and he'll be back in his comfort zone in the ring Saturday night. He said he wants to unify the 168-pound titles and he can get halfway there if he beats Smith. The vacant WBC super middleweight title will be up for grabs as well as Smith's WBA "super" super middleweight crown.

Smith, at 6-foot-3, has a significant size advantage against the 5-8 Alvarez. But in his last fight, Canelo showed that he can handle bigger opponents as he stopped Sergey Kovalev for the WBO light heavyweight championship last November.
