Canelo Alvarez will continue his quest to unify all four major titles at super middleweight when he faces Caleb Plant on Saturday (Showtime PPV, 9 p.m. ET, with prelims at 6 p.m. ET). The bout, which will be held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, will be for Alvarez's WBA, WBO and WBC titles and Plant's IBF title.

Alvarez (56-1-2, 38 KOs), 31, of Guadalajara, Mexico, faced Callum Smith in December 2020 and scored a dominant unanimous decision victory to win Smith's WBA super middleweight belt and the vacant WBC title.

Alvarez added the WBO title with an eighth-round TKO victory over Billy Joe Saunders in May.

Plant (21-0, 12 KOs), 29, of Nashville, Tennessee, has a height and reach advantage over Alvarez, and has fought the majority of his career at 168 pounds.

Plant won the IBF title with a unanimous decision victory over Jose Uzcategui in January 2019. He has made three successful defenses, including a decision win over former champion Caleb Truax in January.

The winner of Alvarez-Plant will become the first undisputed champion at super middleweight in the four-belt era.
