Byron Cowart

Seffner, Florida/Armwood
ESPN 300: 1
Previous rank: 1

Analysis: This week, someone is going to gain an immediate impact lineman who will be ready to wreak havoc next fall. Cowart was a man among boys at times during the Under Armour All-America week, and the advanced skillset, mature physicality and competitive edge he flashed will allow for immediate contributions as a true freshman. Not only was he a force rushing the passer, relying on excellent strength and exploding off the corner, but Cowart was also a disruptive presence versus the run and could challenge for an every-down role next fall.
