CEDAR HILL, Texas -- Joey McGuire is a self-proclaimed "high school football geek." The Cedar Hill (Texas) head football coach, when he's not leading his own team, is all about following the other great programs in the state.
McGuire temporarily will trade his head coaching whistle for a site facilitator clipboard this weekend. Cedar Hill will be the host site of the inaugural Under Armour Sevens, as 32 teams from Texas open the 7-on-7 season in style.
McGuire's mission is to make sure the first event is the most memorable -- on and off the fields.
"It's going to be awesome," McGuire said. "There are going to be well-coached athletes everywhere. We are honored, because the Under Armour events are always first-class events.
