Quality, not quantity

Nebraska doesn't have the number of prospects some other states might have, but the state has been able to brag about quality over quantity.

Last year's top-five list of Nebraska recruits featured two Big Ten signees and one Big 12 signee. Three of this year's top five already have committed to Big Ten schools.

The Cornhusker State features noticeable help on the front seven. The top five players all are expected to play on the defensive side of the ball in college. Josh Banderas (Lincoln, Neb./Southwest) is a four-star outside linebacker who chose to stay in-state, committing to Nebraska in April. Banderas had an offer from Oregon but ultimately chose Nebraska over offers from Iowa, Iowa State, Kansas State, Tulsa and Vanderbilt.
