Fantasy Baseball Forecaster: Week 14 rankings, lineup picks

Chicago Cubs manager Craig Counsell once again returns to Milwaukee, where he used to call the shots. Mark Hoffman/Milwaukee Journal Sentinel

Fantasy baseball's Week 14 is one of the busier ones on the schedule, as 14 of the 30 MLB teams are scheduled to play on all seven days.

The annual Subway Series between the New York Mets and New York Yankees arrives Tuesday, a two-game series at Citi Field. The series opener will feature Gerrit Cole for the Yankees, in what will be his first two-start week of 2024.

The Atlanta Braves and Chicago White Sox will play a makeup game on Thursday at Guaranteed Rate Field, a rescheduling of the April 3 postponement. The additional game forces the Braves to travel north to Chicago after concluding their series in St. Louis, before returning to Atlanta for the weekend. The White Sox play their entire week at home. Both teams are now scheduled for seven games during Week 14.

Craig Counsell returns to Milwaukee for the second time since leaving the Brewers to take over the Chicago Cubs' managerial duties. The Cubs lost three of four there from May 27-30, in a series where Counsell was frequently booed.

The mathematical midpoint of the 2024 season arrives on Thursday of Week 14. Assuming there are no postponements before then, exactly 50% of this season will be in the books once seven games become official Thursday.
