The Fantasy Baseball Forecaster pitching grid has been updated as of Friday, April 7, at 2:21 p.m. ET.
Welcome to the new and improved version of the Fantasy Baseball Forecaster! This year, we've reorganized the story into four parts; it's the same great intel, but you get right where you need to go as fast as possible. Good luck this season!
Here's the scheduled starter for each game scheduled from April 2 to 9, including a projected game score for each pitcher in each matchup. A 50 is typically deemed a "quality start" by this measure, while a 70 is considered a dominant start:

The Baltimore Orioles (three starters), New York Yankees and Texas Rangers all have the luxury of skipping their fifth starters (and the Orioles also their fourth) due to a healthy number of days off during Week 1.
Drew Pomeranz (DL: forearm) will need to complete a successful minor league tune-up on April 3 before being cleared to start April 9.
Following their April 5 postponement, the Chicago White Sox will have their choice of Jose Quintana or Dylan Covey for their Sunday, April 9, game. Quintana, who would be working on four days' rest, is the more logical option.
Bronson Arroyo is expected to serve as the Cincinnati Reds' fifth starter to begin the season, setting him up for an April 8 start. The team might consider pushing him back by a day or using another spot starter for Week 1, however, to give him some additional time to build up his pitch count.
