Christian Pulisic is a known admirer of LeBron James.
His bet on King James' Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2017 NBA Finals earned him 20 slaps at the hands of Borussia Dortmund teammate Marco Reus when the Cavs were dumped in five games by the Golden State Warriors.
During this year's NBA Finals, Pulisic posted an Instagram photo with the Warriors' Kevin Durant ... while wearing a LeBron jersey.
Just last month, he told CBS Sports he hoped James would either stay in Cleveland or join the Philadelphia 76ers -- just a couple hours' drive from Pulisic's hometown of Hershey, Pennsylvania -- before the 14-time NBA All-Star opted to join the L.A. Lakers in free agency.
And now we know that the admiration is mutual.
James posted to Instagram on Friday a photo of him in an idyllic vacation setting, decked out in one of Pulisic's U.S. national team shirts.
James is a minority owner of Liverpool. Has the charm offensive to lure the 19-year-old American to Anfield begun?
