Twelve of the world's best teams have descended on Sydney for 10 high-octane days of basketball action with the Opals looking to add their 2006 World Cup gold with a second in front of a home crowd.
On Day 3, it's a pared back schedule, but there is still one massive match-up which could determine seedings going into the knockout rounds, with China and the USA clashing in the afernoon.

The U.S. now has won 25 consecutive World Cup games since losing in the 2006 semifinals to Russia. The Americans advanced to the quarterfinals and are one away from matching their record 26-game run from 1998-2006.
China gave the USA all they could handle, but it was the reigning champs who prevailed to book their place in the Quarter Finals in front of a 10,000 strong crowd in Sydney.
