The Green Bay Packers open the 2022 NFL regular season at the Minnesota Vikings on Sept. 11 at U.S. Bank Stadium.
They will do so with a revamped receiving corps, minus All-Pro Davante Adams and deep threat Marquez Valdes-Scantling. While much of training camp has been focused on getting quarterback Aaron Rodgers on the same page with a new group of receivers -- including veteran Sammy Watkins and rookies Christian Watson and Romeo Doubs -- they have a dynamic running back duo in Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon, along with what they think is their best defense in years and what they hope is an improved special teams under new coordinator Rich Bisaccia. Among the biggest questions is the offensive line and whether the likes of David Bakhtiari and Elgton Jenkins will be healthy in time for the opener.
The roster will be cut to 53 players by 4 p.m. ET on Aug. 30. Here is a projection:
QUARTERBACK (2): Aaron Rodgers, Jordan Love
Love has shown significant improvement and might be better suited to handle things if Rodgers has to miss time. Danny Etling will likely be the practice squad/No. 3 quarterback.
