Former Auburn Tigers punter and St Kilda player Arryn Siposs has been signed by the Detroit Lions as an undrafted free agent, per Auburn University Football's official twitter account.

Siposs had his AFL dream ended in 2015 when St Kilda delisted him. Three shoulder reconstructions had limited him to 28 games and 22 goals over five seasons. He used the St Kilda decision to spur him on as he chased a career in the NFL.

His transition from Aussie Rules football to college punter was helped by Prokick Australia, before he spent two seasons with the Tigers and then declared for the 2020 NFL Draft.

In the lead up to the Draft he was subject to interest from several NFL teams, but wasn't picked up. With the dust settling after the Draft the Lions swooped on the 27-year-old punter.

Lions General Manager Bob Quinn had spoken to Siposs last week, letting him know the team's intentions.

Siposs joins a long list of players to make the transition from an Aussie Rules background to NFL punter including Mitch Wishnowsky, Michael Dickson, Lachie Edwards, Jordan Berry, Sav Rocca, Darren Bennett and Ben Graham.
