Falcons' insult adds to Browns' long day, season

CLEVELAND -- As if falling to 0-12 wasn't enough, the Cleveland Browns were trolled by the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday.

The Falcons threw dirt in the Browns' faces in light of the two-touchdown game by receiver Taylor Gabriel, who was released by the Browns after training camp.

Gabriel was discovered by Cleveland's former general manager Ray Farmer but did not make the final cut after the Browns drafted four receivers to go with Terrelle Pryor, who emerged in the offseason and camp.

The Browns decided to go with the players that the latest regime of Sashi Brown and Hue Jackson had drafted.

Gabriel's touchdowns of 35 and 25 yards came on screen passes. ESPN Stats & Information reports that Gabriel is just the second player in the past five seasons to score twice on screen passes longer than 20 yards (Jamaal Charles for Kansas City vs. the Raiders in 2013 was the first).

Gabriel also had a 27-yard run.
