DAVIE, Fla. -- Miami Dolphins owner Stephen Ross knows what New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft is going through. Last year, the Dolphins were feeling the effects of the Ted Wells report after their high-profile bullying scandal, and several players and coaches lost their jobs.

However, Ross showed support for NFL commissioner Roger Goodell’s decision to uphold Patriots quarterback Tom Brady's four-game suspension following Deflategate. According to Ross, Goodell is acting in the best interest of the league.

"I have a lot of confidence in Roger and the league offices," Ross said Thursday. "I dealt with them, as you know, with our controversy not too long ago, and they’re very objective. I don’t have all the facts. I don’t think any of us have all the facts. But I think the league takes everything into consideration, and I have a lot of faith in what the league ruled."

Kraft had harsh words for Goodell on Wednesday. Kraft said it was a mistake for him to put faith in the NFL.

Ross said he understands how Kraft feels because he was in those shoes last year.

"When it happens to you, everybody is always upset," Ross said. "It’s a natural reaction. But I have a lot of confidence that the league has done the right thing. They have the facts, and I think Roger tries to treat everyone fairly."
