Recap: In front of a socially scattered crowd at Suncorp Stadium, the Sunshine Coast-based Melbourne Storm took on the Sydney Roosters in yet another potential Grand Final preview. There were way too many handling errors for this game to be lauded like some of the recent clashes involving the Roosters, but the two teams still managed to produce a golden point extra time thriller won 27-25, by the Storm.

Recap: Canberra virtually had this game won at halftime, but coach Ricky Stuart will be far from impressed with how his side took the foot off the gas in the second half. While they also got the first four-pointer of the second half, the Raiders then invited the Dragons back into the contest allowing the visitors to score three tries and set up a grandstand finish. But there was no red-and-white miracle, as the Raiders survived one last attacking raid. Nick Cotric, Bailey Simonsson, George Williams and Jarrod Croker all scored for the hosts while Matt Dufty continued his strong form for the Dragons by scoring a double.

Recap: Maika Sivo had a night to remember as the Eels crushed the Cowboys, wiping away any fears they would be in trouble without Mitchell Moses. The Fijian winger bagged four tries in the 38-point demolition, the Cowboys hapless against their hosts mix of speed and strength. Jai Field was impressive in Moses' absence as he orchestrated the Eels' attack and picked up a try himself, while skipper Clint Gutherson had a great night with the boot kicking six from seven.

Recap: That's Cronulla's third win on the trot after a rough start to season 2020. It looked like the Sharks had a serious fight on their hands in the first half, with the Titans' Beau Fermor breaking through Cronulla's right-edge defence on multiple occasions and finishing the first 40 down by just 2 points at 12-10. Fullback Matt Moylan looked to have aggravated a hamstring injury and did not return after the break, yet the Sharks still managed to blow the Gold Coast away in the second half, running in five unanswered tries.

Reserves: 14. Tom Dearden 15. Thomas Flegler 16. Rhys Kennedy 17. Ben Te'o 18. Corey Oates 19. Cory Paix 20. Richard Kennar 21. Jamil Hopoate

Recap: That is some win for the Warriors after last week's thrashing at the hands of the Storm. After all that's happened this year, the Warriors showed tremendous courage to dig deep late in Gosford and pull away from the Broncos when the game was in the balance, particularly given they had fallen behind 10-0 early on. Late tries from Ken Maumalo -- who produced a supreme effort to touch down in the corner -- and the Isaiah Papali'i saw the New Zealanders home, and put Anthony Seibold's job under even more pressure ... if that was indeed possible.

Recap: The Panthers continue to establish themselves as one of the teams to beat this year, having accounted for the Tigers in a dramatic finish at Bankwest Stadium. The two teams were locked at 12-all with 10 minutes to play when Nathan Cleary calmly slotted a field goal to give his side the narrowest of leads. But only a couple of minutes later, Api Koroisau exploded out of dummy-half and then threw a superb ball for Dylan Edwards to race away and beat the closing defence to the tryline. The game then almost got out of hand as the two sides came together on multiple occasions, Tigers centre BJ Leilua sin-binned for a disgraceful high shot on Edwards.

Reserves: 14. Tex Hoy 15. Jacob Saifiti 16. Aidan Guerra 17. Pasami Saulo 18. Tautau Moga 19. Brodie Jones 20. Phoenix Crossland 21. Josh King

Recap: The Knights were dogged in defence against the Sea Eagles, particularly in the second half, but were really lucky to escape a penalty on the last play of the game which would have given Manly a chance to level the scores. Bradman Best shoved Tevita Funa in the back after he had kicked ahead in a race to the tryline. Addin Fonua-Blake and lock Jake Trbojevic were so infuroated by the bunker's decision that they were sent off for what they said to the onffield referee. Still the Sea Eagles had plenty of opportunities to win the game, but the Knights defence continually muscled up to the task.

Recap: The Rabbits entered the clash as the bookmakers' overwhelming favourites, and although they banked the two points, they didn't have it all their own way at Bankwest Stadium. Alex Johnston opened the scoring inside three minutes, but tries to Marcelo Montoya and Raymond Faitala-Mariner either side of the break gave the hosts a sniff. However, late points saw South Sydney break clear and keep within touching distance of the top eight.
