Penrith's premiership-winning centre Paul Momirovski will return to the Sydney Roosters with immediate effect after being granted a release from the final year of his Panthers contract.

The 25-year-old, who has scored 20 tries in 38 NRL games, made his debut for the Bondi club in 2018 and will return there on a three-year deal for the 2022 NRL season.

It will be a welcome period of stability for Momirovski, who has frequently changed clubs since leaving the Roosters.

He enjoyed a spell at the Wests Tigers in 2019, before being loaned to the Melbourne Storm in a swap deal involving Harry Grant for the 2020 season.

His time with Melbourne was interrupted by injury and he was not part of the side which won the 2020 grand final.

He returned to the Tigers at the start of 2021, but after being told he was behind Joey Leilua and James Roberts in the pecking order sought a release to the Panthers.

It was a move which paid off, with Momirovski claiming the club's right centre position and winning the 2021 premiership.

"It's really exciting to welcome Paul back to the Roosters," head coach Trent Robinson said.

"He is a highly-skilled and intelligent player who has gained a lot of experience throughout his football journey so far, and we're looking forward to seeing him add to that back in Roosters colours."

Crucially for the Roosters, who have struggled for accuracy from the kicking tee, Momirovski is an established goalkicker with a strike rate of 75 per cent.

Meanwhile, axed Warriors prop Kane Evans has sealed a move to the Super League with Hull FC.

Evans, 29, played 14 games for the Warriors after joining the club from Parramatta following the 2020 season.

"Kane is a big unit and his addition to our squad brings another level of power, aggression and size next season, and we're pleased to have another key player tied down for 2022," Hull's head coach Brett Hodgson said.
