NRL Round 7: Teams, line-ups, tips, odds, everything you need to know for the weekend

The NRL action continues this week, with the Roosters testing their premiership credentials against the Storm, before the Eels try to climb back into the Top 8 when they face the Dolphins. On Saturday we see the Broncos host the Raiders in what should be a cracker.

Good luck with your tips.

Officials
Referee:
Ashley Klein Touchies: Liam Kennedy, Ziggy Przeklasa-Adamski Bunker: Adam Gee

Prediction: The Roosters were narrow winners over the Knights last week, but welcome back captain James Tedesco for this tough clash with the Storm. Melbourne were lucky last week to escape with the points against the Bulldogs. Roosters hooker Brandon Smith will be set for a big one against his former club, and could provide the spark around the ruck the Roosters will need.

Tip: Rooster by 6

PointsBet odds: Roosters $1.85 (-1.5 $1.95) Storm $1.95 (+1.5 $1.85)

Friday, April 20

Warriors: 1. Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad 2. Dallin Watene-Zelezniak 3. Rocco Berry 4. Roger Tuivasa-Sheck 5. Marcelo Montoya 6. Te Maire Martin 7. Shaun Johnson 8. Addin Fonua-Blake 9. Wayde Egan 10. Mitchell Barnett 11. Jackson Ford 12. Kurt Capewell 13. Tohu Harris Bench: 14. Chanel Harris-Tavita 15. Tom Ale 16. Jacob Laban 17. Adam Pompey 21. Ali Leiataua Reserves: 18. Zyon Maiu'u 23. Paul Roache

Officials
Referee:
Gerard Sutton Touchies: Phil Henderson, Kasey Badger Bunker: Liam Kennedy

Prediction: The Dragons were too good for the Tigers last week, in a game where both teams had their moments. The Warriors started poorly against the Sea Eagles and were lucky to sneak away with a draw. The Warriors really must win this one comfortably if anyone is going to take them seriously as premiership contenders.

Tip: Warriors by 18

PointsBet odds: Dragons $2.60 (+5.5 $1.90) Warriors $1.50 (-5.5 $1.90)

Parramatta Eels vs. Dolphins

TIO Stadium, Darwin, 8pm (AEST)

Eels: 1. Clinton Gutherson 2. Bailey Simonsson 3. Viliami Penisini 4. Morgan Harper 5. Sean Russell 6. Daejarn Asi 7. Dylan Brown 8. Reagan Campbell-Gillard 9. Joey Lussick 10. Junior Paulo 11. Dolphins: 1. Trai Fuller 2. Jamayne Isaako 3. Jake Averillo 4. Tesi Niu 5. Jack Bostock 6. Kodi Nikorima 7. Isaiya Katoa 8. Jesse Bromwich 9. Jeremy Marshall-King 10. Mark Nicholls 11. Kenny Bromwich 12. Euan Aitken 13. Max Plath Bench: 14. Josh Kerr 15. Sean O'Sullivan 16. Ray Stone 17. Jarrod Wallace Reserves: 18. Oryn Keeley 20. Mason Teague

Officials
Referee:
Todd Smith Touchies: Michael Wise, Tyson Brough Bunker: Peter Gough

Prediction: The Eels surprised many with an improved effort to beat the Cowboys last week, while the Dolphins disappointed in losing to the Broncos. This is a very tough game to pick, because it is not really clear whether the Dolphins are heading to the finals or whether they will be found out by the stronger teams. The Eels would qualify as one of those stronger teams, if not for the missing Mitchell Moses, but they didn't need him last week. To add to the confusion, they are playing in steamy Darwin.

Tip: Dolphins 6

PointsBet odds: Eels $1.42 (-7.5 $1.85) Dolphins $2.90 (+7.5 $1.95)

Saturday, April 20

Penrith Panthers vs. Wests Tigers

Carrington Park, Bathurst, 3pm (AEST)

Tigers: 1. Jahream Bula 2. Charlie Staines 3. Brent Naden 4. Justin Olam 5. Junior Tupou 6. Lachlan Galvin 7. Aidan Sezer 8. Stefano Utoikamanu 9. Apisai Koroisau 10. David Klemmer 11. Isaiah Papali'i 12. John Bateman 13. Fonua Pole Bench: 14. Latu Fainu 15. Alex Twal 16. Alex Seyfarth 17. Samuela Fainu Reserves: 18. Justin Matamua 19. Asu Kepaoa 20. Solomon Alaimalo 21. Jake Simpkin 22. Sione Fainu

Officials
Referee:
Wyatt Raymond Touchies: Chris Sutton, Matt Noyen Bunker: Grant Atkins

Prediction: The Panthers enjoyed the bye last weekend, while the Tigers were very sloppy in their loss to the Dragons. This game is in Bathurst where the Tigers have enjoyed some success in the past, but it is hard to see any level of enthusiasm and commitment overcoming the vast gap in class between these two teams.

Tip: Panthers by 22

PointsBet odds: Panthers $1.17 (-14.5 $1.95) Tigers $5 (+14.5 $1.85)

Gold Coast Titans vs. Manly Warringah Sea Eagles

Jacob Alick-wiencke

Sea Eagles: 1. Tom Trbojevic 2. Jason Saab 3. Tolutau Koula 4. Reuben Garrick 5. Tommy Talau 6. Luke Brooks 7. Daly Cherry-Evans 8. Taniela Paseka 9. Lachlan Croker 10. Matthew Lodge 11. Haumole Olakau'atu 12. Corey Waddell 13. Jake Trbojevic Bench: 14. Karl Lawton 15. Ethan Bullemor 16. Aaron Woods 17. Nathan Brown Reserves: 18. Jakob Arthur 19. Dean Matterson 20. Jaxson Paulo 21. Gordon Chan Kum Tong 22. Aitasi James

Officials
Referee:
Liam Kennedy Touchies: Belinda Sharpe, Nick Pelgrave Bunker: Gerard Sutton

Prediction: The Titans were much improved last week, but still lost to the Raiders, albeit in golden point extra time. The Sea Eagles wasted a strong start against the Warriors, ending with a draw. If any coach knows the inner workings of the Sea Eagles it is the Titans' Des Hasler, but even that advantage won't help them here.

Tip: Sea Eagles by 12

PointsBet odds: Titans $3.50 (+8.5 $1.90) Sea Eagles $1.30 (-8.5 $1.90)

Brisbane Broncos vs. Canberra Raiders

Suncorp Stadium, 7:35pm (AEST)

Blake Mozer 22. Josiah Karapani

Raiders: 1. Chevy Stewart 2. James Schiller 3. Matthew Timoko 4. Sebastian Kris 5. Xavier Savage 6. Ethan Strange 7. Jamal Fogarty 8. Josh Papali'i 9. Danny Levi 10. Joseph Tapine 11. Hudson Young 12. Ata Mariota 13. Morgan Smithies 14. Tom Starling 15. Simi Sasagi 16. Trey Mooney 17. Pasami Saulo 18. Kaeo Weekes 19. Emre Guler 20. Zac Woolford 21. Nick Cotric 22. Peter Hola

Officials
Referee:
Chris Butler Touchies: Jon Stone, Jarrod Cole Bunker: Kasey Badger

Prediction: The Broncos were too good for the Dolphins last week, while the Raiders escaped with a one-point victory over the Titans. This is another one that could go either way, with the Raiders needing a win here to convince many of their premiership chances. Still, at home, it is hard to tip against the Broncos.

Tip: Broncos by 8

PointsBet odds: Broncos $1.38 (-8.5 $1.90) Raiders $3.10 (+8.5 $1.90)

Sunday, April 21

Canterbury Bankstown Bulldogs vs. Newcastle Knights

Accor Stadium, 2pm (AEST)

Jaeman Salmon 13. Josh Curran Bench: 8. Samuel Hughes 14. Bailey Hayward 16. Kurtis Morrin 17. Blake Taaffe Reserves: 21. Jake Turpin

Knights: 1. Kalyn Ponga 2. Greg Marzhew 4. Bradman Best 5. Enari Tuala 22. Thomas Jenkins 20. Tyson Gamble 7. Jackson Hastings 15. Daniel Saifiti 9. Jayden Brailey 10. Leo Thompson 11. Dylan Lucas 12. Kai Pearce-Paul 13. Adam Elliott Bench: 8. Jacob Saifiti 14. Phoenix Crossland 16. Jack Hetherington 19. Brodie Jones Reserves: 17. Mat Croker

Officials
Referee:
Peter Gough Touchies: Clayton Wills, Phil Henderson Bunker: Wyatt Raymond

Prediction: The Bulldogs very nearly beat the Storm last week, but made a lot of little, but costly mistakes. The Knights dropped their bundle when captain Kalyn Ponga was injured in the first half, but fought back in the second to nearly beat the Roosters. The Bulldogs are building enough momentum to win this, if they play smart footy.

Tip: Bulldogs by 8

PointsBet odds: Bulldogs $1.90 (+1.5 $1.80) Knights $1.90 (-1.5 $2)

Cronulla Sutherland Sharks vs. North Queensland Cowboys

PointsBet Stadium, 4:05pm (AEST)

Sharks: 1. William Kennedy 2. Samuel Stonestreet 3. Jesse Ramien 4. Kayal Iro 5. Ronaldo Mulitalo 6. Braydon Trindall 7. Nicho Hynes 8. Thomas Hazelton 9. Blayke Brailey 10. Oregon Kaufusi 11. Briton Nikora 12. Teig Wilton 13. Cameron McInnes Bench: 14. Jack Williams 15. Toby Rudolf 16. Siosifa Talakai 17. Braden Hamlin-Uele Reserves: 18. Daniel Atkinson 19. Tuku Hau Tapuha

Cowboys: 1. Scott Drinkwater 2. Kyle Feldt 3. Valentine Holmes 4. Tomas Chester 5. Semi Valemei 6. Tom Dearden 7. Chad Townsend 8. Jordan McLean 9. Reece Robson 10. Jason Taumalolo 11. Kulikefu Finefeuiaki 12. Jeremiah Nanai 13. Reuben Cotter Bench: 14. Jake Granville 15. Griffin Neame 16. Sam McIntyre 17. Jack Gosiewski Reserves: 18. Jake Clifford 19. Thomas Mikaele

Officials
Referee:
Adam Gee Touchies: David Munro, Paki Parkinson Bunker: Ashley Klein

Prediction: The Sharks were too good last week for the Rabbitohs, while the Cowboys were disappointing against the Eels. The Sharks are performing better than many expected and the Cowboys are so unpredictable. I'm tipping the Sharks at home, but anything could happen here.

Tip: Sharks by 10

PointsBet odds: Sharks $1.62 (-3.5 $1.90) Cowboys $2.30 (+3.5 $1.90)
