Adelaide
Stocks up: We hate to think what the margin could have been against the Giants had Tom Doedee not been out there. The Crows defender was superb all day, finishing with 12 intercepts, nine marks and 22 disposals. The next Crows skipper?
Stocks down: The Crows midfield is currently undermanned but they were absolutely belted by the Giants on Saturday afternoon. GWS had a staggering 24 more clearances throughout the game, and it's little wonder they won by 11 goals.
Brisbane
Stocks up: Brisbane's premiership credentials have risen over the past three weeks. Good wins over the Bombers and Blues was backed up by a monster win over a flag chance in Port Adelaide. It was a shaky start, but we're starting to see the Lions many of us expected to see in 2021.
Stocks down: Sorry, Rhys, but you've just got to stop playing for free kicks. When you're a fringe player in a top side, you need to be doing everything you can to hold your spot in the team, instead, Rhys Mathieson seems more interested in conning the umpires into paying him frees.
Carlton
Stocks up: Sam Walsh just gets better and better; Another 33 disposals, eight clearances and a classy goal for the future champion. Just pay whatever it costs to hold stocks in this kid!
Stocks down: Paddy Dow's shiner! Pwoah, that looked like it hurt. Unfortunately, the young gun was a forced sub and sat out the majority of the Blues' stunning win over the old enemy on Sunday afternoon.
Collingwood
Stocks up: Brody Mihocek is just about the only Pie who could have walked off the MCG with his head held high. But even his four goals, from 24 touches, wasn't enough to get his team over the line.
Stocks down: It was mentioned all week, if the Pies lose to Gold Coast it could spell the end for Nathan Buckley. His stocks are at an all-time low and we wouldn't be surprised if the club made a 'statement' this week...
Essendon
Stocks up: Nik Cox has taken all the hype -- and rightly so -- but another young Bomber in Harrison Jones will have Essendon fans licking their lips for years. The lightly framed, athletic tall forward booted 3.0 on Sunday and his aerial prowess was on full display.
Stocks down: The ability to shut down Adam Saad's drive didn't completely cost the Bombers the game, but they should have done more to combat the speedster's influence on the contest. After all, they know better than anyone what he is capable of.
Fremantle
Stocks up: Andrew Brayshaw battled manfully for a Dockers side that was dismantled by their crosstown rivals, racking up 32 disposals at a whopping 90 percent efficiency! The 21-year-old has more than cemented himself as a key cog in Justin Longmuir's engine room.
Stocks down: That's now 11 straight Derby losses for the Dockers. It seems strange saying this given West Coast's recent success, but it's a changing of the guard in the western fixture; Freo had won 13 of the last 16, including six straight before the Eagles' streak kicked off in 2016.
Geelong
Stocks up: In the absence of superstar Patrick Dangerfield, Cam Guthrie has stepped up in a big way. Against the Swans on Saturday night, Guthrie tallied 30 disposals, nine clearances and 10 inside 50s, almost getting the Cats over the line.
Stocks down: The big Tomahawk's stocks are dropping. Just two goals in two weeks for Tom Hawkins is not good enough for the competition's premier forward and reiging Coleman Medallist.
Gold Coast
Stocks up: After another tough start to the season, the Suns could very easily have fallen away, but huge credit to Stuart Dew for turning things around with impressive back-to-back wins over Sydney and Collingwood. A shoutout to the midfield group, as well. Touk Miller, Hugh Greenwood and Noah Anderson are playing inspired football at the moment. Just imagine if Matt Rowell was added back into the mix...
Stocks down: Nick Holman couldn't back up his career best game, and picked up just 12 touches at a horrible 41 percent efficiency against the Pies. He can't afford another game like that in Round 8.
GWS
Stocks up: His stocks were pretty low heading into the season but there's a bit of a spike for Jesse Hogan all of a sudden. The former Demon and Docker kicked four in his Giants debut, as his side made light work of the Crows.
Stocks down: It was a fine win for the Giants and their stars lit it up, but they're lucky their wayward first term -- recording 1.8 -- didn't come back to bite them!
Hawthorn
Stocks up: Hawthorn may have been smashed in all areas, including the midfield battle, but sometimes you just have to admire the natural ball-winning ability of Brownlow Medal winner Tom Mitchell. James Worpel's 11 clearances were also impressive in the absence of dynamic trio Jaeger O'Meara, Chad Wingard and Shaun Burgoyne.
Stocks down: There were many disappointments for Hawks fans, whose side was simply destroyed, but six contested marks in four quarters isn't the way you win games of footy. It's the fourth lowest count in 63 matches this season and the inclusions of Jack Gunston and Emerson Jeka -- albeit in his debut -- really should have aided this statistic.
Melbourne
Stocks up: How good was Bailey Fritsch?! He may cop MRO scrutiny for a high hit, but he absolutely starred in Hobart with a career-high six goals.
Stocks down: Pivotal defender Adam Tomlinson lasted just 10 minutes on Sunday afternon before being subbed out of the game with a suspected ACL injury. Absolutely horrid luck, if that's the case.
North Melbourne
Stocks up: Ben Cunnington led from the front and for four quarters ensured the Kangas were a chance of taking a gigantic scalp and earning their first win of the season. The contested ball-winning beast notched up 35 disposals, eight clearances and two goals - the last of which coming early in the final term to make it a one-goal ball game.
Stocks down: North's Second half collapse denied them a spirit-lifting victory. Sustaining a four-quarter effort is part of the gruelling challenge for an inexperienced, winless team, but two goals in a half won't cut it.
Port Adelaide
Stocks up: How good has Ollie Wines been to start 2021? The Power midfielder is in career best form and against Brisbane won 37 disposals and booted a goal.
Stocks down: Three weeks ago the Power were embarrassed by the Eagles and now they've been completely shown up by the Lions. Ken Hinkley's side has a serious issue on the road, against top teams, and it must be rectified. The travelling Power is a stock we desperately want to avoid right now!
Richmond
Stocks up: Once again, everyone had begun writing the Tigers off, and once again they proved us all wrong. The win over the Dogs on Friday night, without superstar Dustin Martin, has added even more to the Richmond dynasty. It's perhaps their best backs-against-the-wall, undermanned win of this dominant era.
Stocks down: Injuries for the Tigers mean there's extra spots currently available in the senior team, but you have to wonder if Jason Castagna has a place when everyone is fully fit. Once again the Richmond goalsneak failed to fire, finishing the game with just nine touches, one tackle and no score.
St Kilda
Stocks up: He's a little bit of a forgotten man after injuries and form troubles but Zak Jones played one of the games of 2021 on Saturday afternoon. The speedy Saint picked up 37 disposals, had seven clearances, laid six tackles and booted two goals.
Stocks down: Sure, the Hawks aren't a premiership threat in 2021, but you have to ask yourself why on earth aren't the Saints producing this every week? This performance just shows how little St Kilda trust we have right now. Who knows what we'll get in Round 8...
Sydney
Stocks up: How can it not be Tom Papley!? The Swans goalsneak had a relatively quiet night but produced a moment of magic inside the final 90 seconds at the SCG to lift Sydney over Geelong in one of the season's most see-sawing games.
Stocks down: Just seven touches and no impact from Isaac Heeney is not what we're used to seeing from the star Swan. Heeney has struggled since returning to the side from a broken hand.
West Coast
Stocks up: Tim Kelly was simply enormous in the absence of midfield counterparts Luke Shuey and Elliot Yeo, taking home the Glendinning-Allan Medal on the back of 42 touches, 13 clearances and nine tackles. Huge!
Stocks down: You could say that West Coast's response to their Round 6 shellacking was emphatic, but seven Eagles didn't lay a single tackle in Sunday's win! Not sure how those numbers would fare when the heat is well and truly on, say, in September...
Western Bulldogs
Stocks up: It's been a mixed season for Caleb Daniel, but the crafty Dog was back to his best on Friday night. As so often is the case, Daniel set up match of the Dogs play in the first half, finishing the game with 34 disposals at 91 percent efficiency.
Stocks down: He's got a bag of 10 goals to his name in 2021, but Josh Bruce was wildly out of sorts against the Tigers. He constantly misread the flight of the ball and failed to have any impact when the going got tough. We're not saying he cost the Dogs, but he certainly didn't do anything to help them.
