Our footy experts cast their eye over the week's action to find out whose stocks are up -- whether it's a coaching masterstroke or a player having a blinder -- and whose are down. Every club features, so jump ahead to your team below (desktop only).
Crows | Lions | Blues | Magpies | Bombers | Dockers | Cats | Suns | Giants | Hawks | Demons | Roos | Power | Tigers | Saints | Swans | Eagles | Bulldogs
Adelaide
Stocks up: Midfielder Ben Keays' career revival continues to go from strength to strength; he amassed another 31 touches, had a game-high 11 clearances and was pivotal in keeping the Crows in the contest for so long.
Stocks down: Not a great outing from Shane McAdam who had just three touches and -7 metres gained from his 75 percent game time. Needs to be better than that.
Brisbane
Stocks up: How good was Mitch Robinson on Saturday!? A career-high four goals to go with his 30 disposals in a clear best on ground performance against the Giants at the Gabba. Skipper Dayne Zorko was pretty handy, too, with 35 and two snags.
Stocks down: The Lions kicked 19 goals in a 64-point win over GWS but star recruit Joe Daniher had little involvement in the rout. Just one goal and four kicks for the game. He really should have had a day out with all of that forward line service!
Carlton
Stocks up: Co-skipper Patrick Cripps is back in form. With three massive, team-lifting goals to go with 27 touches and six clearances, Cripps was dominant in the contest as well as up forward. He still looks sore, and looked to have suffered a dislocated finger in the loss, but he's a fighter and an important signature for the Blues get...
Stocks down: Fitness guru Andrew Russell should be sweating, pardon the pun. Coming across from the Hawks in 2019 as a highly-touted operator, Carlton have continually looked slower and not as fit as their opponents in 2021. Against the Swans, and after a bright start, the Blues looked sluggish and out of puff compared to Sydney in the fourth quarter, and were completely overrun.
Collingwood
Stocks up: He's one of the more maligned players in the league, but Jordan De Goey kept Collingwood in the contest on Saturday afternoon. The mercurial Pie finished the game with 26 touches, four clearances, seven score involvements and two goals of his own.
Stocks down: It was a tale of two halves for the Pies who looked second-rate for much of the contest. Their lack of dare when transitioning the ball forward was damning in the first half, failing to score a goal for the first time since 2005. It was too little, too late when they decided to take the game on and put 5.4 past the Cats in the final term.
Essendon
Stocks up: Plenty of Bombers saw their stock prices rise in Perth, but perhaps none more than Jake Stringer, who returned to the side and kicked three crucial second-half goals to steer Essendon to a famous win over the Eagles.
Stocks down: After a win like that, how could there possibly be any Bombers stocks dropping?
Fremantle
Stocks up: The Andrew Brayshaw and Adam Cerra combination just keeps getting better and better. Against the Dockers, the pair combined for 55 disposals, eight clearances, 14 inside 50s and over 800m gained.
Stocks down: Teams with finals aspirations can't kick 0.7 in a quarter, and allow their opponents 12 scoring shots for 7.5 in the same term. Fremantle's first quarter was one of the worst seen this season, so it's only fitting they were never able to get back into the contest.
Geelong
Stocks up: Tom Hawkins showed he is still Geelong's most important player in Saturday's win over the Pies. Last year's Coleman Medal winner kicked three goals but had a hand in just about everything for the Cats, finishing with a game-high 12 score involvements.
Stocks down: He kicked a nice goal but Esava Ratugolea was virtually unsighted at the MCG, finishing the game with just four touches. The big man didn't touch the ball after quarter-time! Not the way to lock down a spot in a premiership-fancied side.
Gold Coast
Stocks up: Those who think Touk Miller isn't in All-Australian consideration have rocks in their head. Miller returned to the Suns side and put in a certain three-vote display, racking up 37 disposals, laying seven tackles and contributing to 10 scores, including a goal of his own.
Stocks down: By no means are we selling stock in him but Noah Anderson's form has dipped a little in recent weeks. The young Sun was relatively quiet again as his fellow mids ran rampant against the Hawks on Saturday night.
GWS
Stocks up: He's copped plenty of flak over the journey but Callan Ward might just be in career best form. The hard-nosed Giant starred with two goals and 32 disposals, continuing his rich vein of form in season 2021.
Stocks down: Minute-less debuts! When GWS ruckman Shane Mumford went down into the rooms during the fourth quarter with a hamstring injury, medical sub Callum Brown was kitted out, warmed up and ready to feature in his first AFL game. Turns out it was just a cut making Mumford anxious, who returned to the field and gave the 20-year-old a bizarre moment of false hope.
Hawthorn
Stocks up: Premiershp star Liam Shiels has had a bit of a drop off in recent years but played one of his best games in quite some time against the Suns, to finish with 27 touches and eight clearances. It's a shame he had so few mates...
Stocks down: The Hawthorn Football Club is in a dire position right now. There's a lack of star power and a lack of quality.
Melbourne
Stocks up: The Melbourne midfield trio of Max Gawn, Clayton Oliver and Christian Petracca might just be the best combo in the AFL. The three were in supreme form on Friday night as the Demons beat the Dogs to move back on top of the ladder.
Stocks down: It was another super quiet game from hard runner Jayden Hunt, who had just seven touches for the second consecutive week. Probably needs to start doing a little more in this dynamic side.
North Melbourne
Stocks up: Young Bailey Scott has struggled to lock down a place in the North side but is he now set to land a regular tagging role? Scott kept Brad Hill to just six disposals, wearing him like a glove all afternoon at Marvel Stadium.
Stocks down: Emerging key back Ben McKay limped off late with an apparent hamstring strain. McKay had kept young Saint Max King goalless throughout the game.
Port Adelaide
Stocks up: It was another likely three vote performance from Ollie Wines who is in red-hot form right now. Against the Dockers, he had another 35 possessions, eight clearances, eight inside 50s and 14 score involvements.
Stocks down: The Power looked like winning by 100+ points on Sunday evening but only really stumbled over the line. Does this team lack the killer instinct which will take them deep in September?
Richmond
Stocks up: Welcome to the big-time, Callum Coleman-Jones! The second gamer was crucial to the Tigers' third term breakaway; his four goals straight (and a stunning kicking action to boot) helped set the tone for Richmond as they put enough distance between them and the Crows.
Stocks down: Stocks in Shai Bolton's Mark of the Year attempt have fallen, with Jack Riewoldt almost certain to edge his Richmond teammate's grab. It was shades of Nick for Jack, who flew back with the flight but copped a ride to take an outrageous 'speccy' facing away from whence the kick came! We'll let the video do the talking...
It's an #SCTop10 nomination from Richmond's Jack Riewoldt with this HANGER!#AFLTigersCrows

St Kilda
Stocks up: That's what we want to see from you, Mason Wood! The former Roo got involved from the opening bounce as the Saints beat his old side. Wood had 18 disposals, laid four tackles and kicked a game-high three goals.
Stocks down: Not for the first time this season, we're selling stock in Brad Hill. He put in another poor showing on Saturday afternoon, tallying just six touches for the games. He's lucky the Saints won, or he'd be facing even more heat this week...
Sydney
Stocks up: It was a stellar game in defence from Harry Cunningham against the Blues. He had 27 touches at 89 percent efficiency, took 10 marks, had eight intercept possessions and didn't turn the ball over once.
Stocks down: Big man Hayden McLean might find himself out of luck at selection next week, after picking up just seven disposals and six hit outs. He had the chance to hit the scoreboard late in the game but missed.
West Coast
Stocks up: There was no Luke Shuey and no Tim Kelly for three quarters, but Dom Sheed led from the front in midfield for the Eagles. The 2018 Grand Final hero had 43 disposals, six clearances, six inside 50s, over 600m gained and kicked a goal in the loss.
Stocks down: The entire second half was a big stocks down for the Eagles but much of it can be attributed to the key Injuries to Kelly and Oscar Allen. Kelly played just one quarter before being subbed out with a knee injury, while Allen failed to play the second half after landing awkwardly in the second quarter.
Western Bulldogs
Stocks up: It was yet another big game from Jackson Macrae who tallied 36 disposals, six clearances, six inside 50s and nine tackles. Yet with the Dogs well beaten, he'll struggle to pick up a single Brownlow Medal vote.
Stocks down: It has to be Jason Johannisen. The speedy Dog had just four kicks on Friday night and failed to provide any run and carry off half-back.
