NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- The Tennessee Titans wrapped up their offseason program on Thursday and open training camp on July 29 at St. Thomas Sports Park in Nashville, Tennessee. Here’s a 53-man roster projection:

Quarterbacks (2): Marcus Mariota, Matt Cassel.

Alex Tanney is a nice guy to have as a third, but there won’t be practice snaps for a third and it’s a luxury that they don’t need.

Running backs (4): DeMarco Murray, Derrick Henry, Dexter McCluster, Bishop Sankey.

I don’t know that Sankey ever really got a fair shake and he did little with his chances. But that spot could well be a player to be named who’s cut elsewhere. Like McCluster, Sankey is different than the top two guys and the Titans want changeup options.

Fullback (1): Jalston Fowler.

Wide receivers (6): Kendall Wright, Rishard Matthews, Tajae Sharpe, Dorial Green-Beckham, Harry Douglas, Justin Hunter.

Douglas and Hunter are both in jeopardy, but at this point I see them both sticking, but getting far fewer snaps. Tre McBride could challenge.

Tight ends (3): Delanie Walker, Craig Stevens, Anthony Fasano.

Shouldn’t be five like there were on the roster at the start of the 2015 season. These are unquestionably the top three.

Offensive line (8): Taylor Lewan, Quinton Spain, Ben Jones, Chance Warmack, Jack Conklin, Sebastian Tretola, Brian Schwenke, Josue Matias.

The eighth and a potential ninth may not currently be on the roster. Matias is a big, strong guy who’s working at tackle and guard.

Defensive line (6): Jurrell Casey, DaQuan Jones, Al Woods, Angelo Blackson, Austin Johnson, Karl Klug.

I would think it’s the end for Ropati Pitoitua considering how frequently he was a healthy scratch last season.

Linebackers (9): Brian Orakpo, Derrick Morgan, Avery Williamson, Wesley Woodyard, Kevin Dodd, Sean Spence, David Bass, Curtis Grant, Nate Palmer.

Hard to have a good feel for veteran additions at this point, especially Grant and Palmer. Rookie Aaron Wallace could displace one.

Defensive backs (11): Jason McCourty, Perrish Cox, Brice McCain, Da’Norris Searcy, Rashad Johnson, Kevin Byard, Daimion Stafford, Antwon Blake, Cody Riggs, LeShaun Sims, Kalan Reed.

In Sims and Reed I stick with draft picks at this stage over B.W. Webb, who’s done some good things, as well as Curtis Riley, a promising undrafted player from a year ago who got hurt and has moved from corner to safety. Eleven is heavy here, but I had an extra spot when I didn’t keep a third quarterback.

Specialists (3): PK Ryan Succop, P Brett Kern, LS Beau Brinkley.
