Breakdown

After having just one prime-time game last season, the Titans are featured on the big stage three times this year. It all starts with a Monday Night game against the Broncos in the season opener. Nissan Stadium will host the first prime-time game since the 2018 season when the Colts come to town. A trip to face the Packers at Lambeau Field caps off Tennessee's games under the lights. The Titans open the season with a road game and finish with two more away games. One of which will be against the division-rival Texans.

Young QBs

The Titans' defense faces a collection of young quarterbacks. Drew Lock and the Broncos' group of wideouts featuring Courtland Sutton, Jerry Jeudy, and K.J. Hamler will pose a threat in the season opener. Reigning league MVP Lamar Jackson and the Ravens will look to get their revenge after losing to Tennessee in the divisional round of the playoffs last season. In two seasons, Bills quarterback Josh Allen has a 2-0 record against the Titans. Baker Mayfield and the Browns are also on the schedule. Then there's Joe Burrow of the Bengals, who was the first overall pick in the NFL draft.

Familiar faces, new places

Tennessee faces former Titans players Tajae Sharpe (Vikings) and Jurrell Casey (Broncos) this season. The Titans also face the Packers which means they'll go against former offensive coordinator Matt LaFleur, who is now the head coach. Casey was a long-term team captain before being traded to Denver during the offseason. The Broncos game is the season opener, so Casey's first regular-season appearance with his new team comes against his old one. Emotions will be high.
