Australian forward Luke Travers has officially entered his name in the 2022 NBA Draft, agent Daniel Moldovan told ESPN.

A finalist for NBL Rookie of the Year, the 20-year-old appeared in 27 out of 28 regular season games for the Perth Wildcats, averaging over 22 minutes per game in a key rotation role. At 6'9", Travers is a versatile defender with an ability to guard multiple positions.

"The versatility in his game is probably the most exciting aspect with his size and length," Wildcats GM Danny Mills said of Travers earlier this season.

"We're extremely high on Luke, he's definitely working hard and doing all the right things to take the next step and hopefully be in the NBA."

In addition to his defensive prowess, Travers' progression on the offensive end has been evident, with a season-high 24-point night against South East Melbourne Phoenix highlighted by a 4-for-6 mark from long range.

"He's been on our radar for some time. He's very competitive defensively, he has great instincts, he's just a basketball player," ESPN draft analyst Jonathan Givony recently told the Ball and the Real World Podcast.

Overall, Travers has appeared in 71 NBL games for the Wildcats across three seasons, with each year bringing a significant increase in production.

Travers plans to head to the U.S in the coming weeks in preparation for the draft. The 2022 NBA Draft is on June 24 (AEST) from Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, live on ESPN.
