At No Mercy, John Cena faces Roman Reigns one-on-one for the first time. Brock Lesnar's Universal championship defense against Braun Strowman may end up getting the main event spot on the card, but this matchup has fans buzzing and has the potential to steal the show. Here are the five facts you need to know heading into the match.

1. Cena is seeking his 94th career WWE pay-per-view victory, which would tie The Undertaker for most in WWE history. Cena would reach that mark in his 155th career pay-per-view match with a win at No Mercy. The Undertaker reached 94 wins in his 163rd pay-per-view bout.

2. Only five superstars in WWE history have competed in the main event of WrestleMania three years in a row. Cena and Reigns are two of them.

3. No Mercy may be the first one-on-one between Cena and Reigns, but it won't be the first time they have shared the ring in singles competition:

-- At Money in the Bank in 2014, both superstars competed in an 8-man ladder match for the vacant WWE championship. Cena won the match to secure his 15th world title reign.

-- Three weeks later at Battleground 2014, Cena defeated Reigns, Kane and Randy Orton in a Fatal 4-Way match to retain his WWE championship.

4. Reigns will be the 10th superstar in the last two years to face Cena one-on-one for the first time. Cena won seven of those last nine matches, with only AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura pulling off victories in their initial encounter.

5. Reigns may claim that the WWE is "his yard" now, but his win-loss reflect certainly doesn't reflect that. He has lost each of his last four pay-per-view matches, tied for the longest losing streak of his career. Reigns' last victory at a pay-per-view event was his historic win at WrestleMania 33 against The Undertaker.
