Team news: Hawthorn midfielder Will Day will make his return from a foot injury on Thursday night in what is a huge boost for Sam Mitchell's side. For the Blues, Harry McKay has been named after recovering from a knee injury.

FRIDAY, JULY 25
Essendon vs. Western Bulldogs
Team news: Nate Caddy will return for the Bombers this week, along with Todd Goldstein and Saad El-Hawli, with the trio replacing Archer May and Vigo Visentini (both omitted), and the injured Xavier Duursma. For the Dogs, Liam Jones has been dropped yet again, with Luke Beveridge electing to play youngster Jedd Busslinger instead.

Gold Coast Suns vs. Brisbane Lions

Team news: Suns half-back Dan Rioli will miss at least a month after scans on a lower leg injury revealed a small fracture in his leg. But he's only one out among many as Damien Hardwick swung the axe for the Q-Clash; Nick Holman, Jy Farrar, Alex Davies, Lachie Weller, and Sam Collins have all been named, but Sam Clohesy, Sam Clohesy, David Swallow, Ben Jepson, and Jed Walter join Rioli on the sidelines. For the Lions, Zac Bailey returns return from suspension, but Kai Lohmann will miss through injury.
