QB Trevor Lawrence missed the first game of his college and professional careers last week after suffering an AC sprain in his throwing shoulder. Despite playing through a knee injury and a high ankle sprain, and following an uneventful recovery from a concussion, it was an injury to his throwing shoulder that finally forced the quarterback to miss time. After not practicing at all last week, there was little indication of Lawrence's progress. However, he was able to do limited work each day this week and his throwing improved enough by the end of the week for him to travel with the team to Nashville. This really comes down to whether Lawrence can be effective with his throws and is comfortable enough to get through four quarters of football. His status is still uncertain but, with the playoffs on the line, it appears he has a chance to play.
In a somewhat surprising turn of events, the Jaguars activated WR Christian Kirk off IR on Saturday. Kirk suffered a groin injury in Week 13 and subsequently underwent a core muscle repair. A return within five weeks would be impressive and he is not a lock yet to play, but his activation indicates the team believes he's ready. Kirk has had only limited work in practice this week but might not be asked to return to a full complement of snaps out of the gate. Players often struggle to open up to full explosive speed right away but that doesn't prevent them from effectively contributing.

TE Cole Kmet (knee) was indeed a true game-time decision in Week 17 and, even though he ended up playing, it was in a limited role. Kmet was only on the field for 13 offensive snaps, most of which occurred during running plays. Most concerning for fantasy manager was the fact he had zero targets. He did not practice on Wednesday, was limited on Thursday and did upgrade to full practice Friday, but the questionable tag indicates he is not yet fully healthy. If he does play again this week, his utilization is difficult to gauge.
Green Bay's wide receivers remain on the injury carousel and three of their starting four come into Sunday's game as questionable. Christian Watson (who has missed the last four games due to yet another hamstring injury) does appear to have at least a chance to return. Coach Matt Lafleur told reporters his non-practice on Friday was a planned rest day after two days of limited work on Wednesday and Thursday. Watson's status will likely come down to the wire. Jayden Reed exited Week 17 with a chest injury but X-rays returned negative and Reed later indicated he felt pretty good. He practiced on a limited basis throughout the week. Dontayvion Wicks, despite being out Week 17, appears to now be the healthiest of the group. He too has a chest injury but was able to practice in full both Thursday and Friday.
